Stable Capsule Filling. Pack with 1 Operator, Not 4–5.
The AFPAK YM810, YM1210 and YM1810 lines pair a solid, cam-driven filling and sealing machine with YM10 semi-automatic cartoning for Nespresso-compatible single-serve capsules. Built for daily production, with the repetitive packing work taken off your team.

A Practical Production Line for Coffee Factories That Value Mechanical Quality
A dependable capsule operation needs a repeatable production process and a packing team that can keep pace. This configuration brings those requirements together: a heavy, cam-driven machine at the front end and labor-saving capsule handling at the discharge end.
It suits producers who are moving toward standardized daily manufacturing, replacing labor-intensive packing routines, or selecting equipment with mechanical durability as a purchasing priority.
Choose YM810 with a single-lane YM80 filling machine, YM1210 with a two-lane YM120, or YM1810 with a three-lane filling machine. Each line connects capsule production to YM10 automatic arranging and loading. For higher output, two or three YM10 units can be configured to share the packing workload.

Cam-Driven Construction for Repeatable Production
The YM filling and sealing machine uses a mechanical cam drive to create repeatable station movements. Its solid construction supports the repeated operating cycles required in everyday capsule production.
The filling machine weighs approximately 2,200 kg in YM810, 2,400 kg in YM1210, and 2,600 kg in YM1810. This substantial build is part of the platform’s design for stable operation and long-term use. Regular lubrication, correct setup, cleaning, and replacement of wear parts remain essential to maintaining that performance.
Automate the Repetitive Work After Filling
Manual packing often requires people to orient individual capsules, arrange them into the correct pattern, and place them into cartons. YM10 automates these repeated capsule-handling steps.
At customer sites in the United States and Spain, AFPAK observed teams of 4–5 people preparing cartons, packing capsules, and gluing cartons closed. With the YM10-assisted packing arrangement, one operator opens and positions each carton for automatic capsule loading, then closes and glues the filled carton. This comparison describes those packing applications; actual staffing depends on production rate, carton design, and the number of cartoners.

Control the Steps That Shape Capsule Quality
The filling and sealing process combines empty-capsule feeding, no-capsule/no-fill detection, automatic coffee dosing, rim cleaning, roll-film cutting and sealing, a second heat seal, and discharge. Nitrogen protection covers the area from filling to sealing.
Reference filling accuracy is ±0.1–0.2 g for the specified 5–6 g coffee dose. Actual results depend on coffee characteristics, target weight, settings, and operating speed. Optional inline weighing adds capsule weight checks and rejection of products outside the selected tolerance.

The figures in the model table describe reference filling and sealing capacity. Finished-carton output depends on the number of YM10 units, carton format, operator pace, and selected inspection functions. Filling-machine dimensions and weights exclude downstream cartoning and the complete line layout.
Add Cartoning Capacity for Higher Output
Each YM10 has a reference output of approximately 8–10 cartons per minute. With 10 capsules per carton, this corresponds to approximately 80–100 capsules per minute. Higher-output projects can use two or three YM10 units to share the packing workload. Final sustained output depends on the carton, capsule handling, and the operator’s ability to complete opening, positioning, closing, and gluing.
| Line | Packing demand at 10 capsules/carton | Recommended YM10 configuration | Matching condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| YM810 | 6–8 cartons/min | 1 unit | Confirm sustained 8 cartons/min at maximum filling output. |
| YM1210 | 12–16 cartons/min | 2 units | Confirm combined output and feeding arrangement. |
| YM1810 | 15–18 cartons/min | 2 units; consider 3 if needed | 180 CPM requires 9 cartons/min per unit with 2 units. At 8 each, combined output is 160 CPM. |
With two YM10 units, 180 CPM requires at least 9 cartons/min per unit at 10 capsules/carton. At 8 cartons/min each, combined reference capacity is 160 CPM. Final output and staffing are confirmed for the selected layout.

Inline weighing requires additional sensor response time and can reduce filling speed. AFPAK will confirm the expected output of the selected model and weighing configuration during project review.
Configure the System Around Your Capsule and Carton
The filling configuration uses roll-film cutting and sealing for coffee capsules. A single YM10 supports both 10×1 and 5×2 carton-loading arrangements. The appropriate setup is selected for the capsule and carton samples; changeover requirements are confirmed during project review.

| Inline weighing and rejection | Checks filling weight and separates capsules outside the selected tolerance; affects operating speed. |
| Liquid flavor dosing | Adds an adjustable liquid flavor dose. |
| Laser coding | Adds agreed production or identification information. |
| Additional capsule production kit | Supports an additional capsule format after tooling and compatibility review. |
| B10 fully automatic cartoning | Alternative downstream configuration when automatic carton handling is required; specified separately. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the complete system fully automatic?
Filling, sealing, capsule conveying, grouping, and capsule loading are automatic in the configured line. At YM10, the same operator opens and positions the carton, then closes and glues it after automatic loading.
How much labor can it save?
AFPAK observed packing teams of 4–5 people at customer sites in the United States and Spain. In the corresponding YM10-assisted arrangement, one operator opens and positions cartons, then closes and glues them after automatic capsule loading. This comparison applies to the observed packing operation; whole-line staffing and multi-cartoner staffing are assessed separately.
How is cartoning capacity matched to the filling machine?
Each YM10 produces approximately 8–10 cartons per minute. For ten-capsule cartons, one unit provides a reference handling capacity of 80–100 capsules per minute. YM810 can therefore be assessed with one YM10, while YM1210 and YM1810 should be assessed with two or more units. Two units need to sustain at least 9 cartons/min each to pack 180 capsules/min. A third unit can be considered where additional capacity is needed. Staffing is specified separately.
Why choose a cam-driven filling machine?
A cam drive provides a defined, repeatable mechanical motion sequence. The YM platform combines that operating principle with substantial construction for producers who prioritize daily production stability and long-term mechanical quality.
Can I use a different capsule or carton?
Send capsule, sealing-material, and carton samples. AFPAK will check the required tooling, handling arrangement, and achievable output before confirming compatibility.
Can I test my capsules and coffee before ordering?
Send capsule, coffee, film and carton samples. Our team will confirm the sample-test arrangement with you by WhatsApp (+86 156 1886 6167) or email.
Can I see the machine running?
Yes. The YM810 video at the top of this page was recorded at a customer site. Contact us for more running footage of the configuration you are considering.
